SPS Introduction workshop for academic support

From 9 to 12 The workshop will vary between presentations, discussions and offer inspiration on how to support and mentor students with special needs.

Program

  1. Welcome and presentation with the possibility of asking questions.

  2. Tasks and the role as academic support/mentor - and advise on how to work with SPS students.

  3. Introduction to the typical challenges facing SPS students - information and explanation of the most common diagnoses.

  4. Supervision/coaching based on actual cases - are you in a situation, where you would like somebody else's point of view? We wish to discuss experiences and challenges in the supporting role with us and the other academic support teachers to find new perspectives and inspiration.

In co-operation with The Board of Education and Quality (Styrelsen for Undervisning og Kvalitet) we are pleased to be able to invite you to a workshop with focus on the task of giving academic support and mentoring to students with special needs.

The workshop is for academic staff at universities for students with special needs, who have not yet attended our introduction workshop.
