Better practice workshop for academic support teachers at DTU

13-06-2024

9.30-11.30 am ONLINE

The workshop provides an opportunity for the support teachers to reflect on their work together, share ideas, and receive feedback on the dilemmas they may encounter when working with SPS students. At the workshop, you will be able to share your own experiences and receive education about autism and ADHD.

Agenda

The day will start with a short introduction. We have prepared two cases for you based on our experience working with SPS-students at DTU. One case is about a student struggling with autism and another case is about a student dealing with ADHD. You will be divided into breakout rooms with other support teachers where you will have the opportunity to discuss how to best help the student based on the questions that we have presented beforehand. We encourage that you include your own experience with the students, but remember to keep your confidentiality, which means that you cannot mention the students’ names nor expose something that will make them recognizable. At the end of the workshop, we will have a joint discussion, where you will also be able to pose questions to the SPS-counselors and receive feedback.
